How this page works

• Every 5 minutes our servers check each part of the service. A check that fails is tried once more a moment later before it counts; one failed check shows as degraded, two in a row as down. A part can also read degraded while it is still working — that means something only a fallback path needs is unavailable, and the notes below say which.
• Website and sign-in: Our database answers a query, and the sign-in service reports itself healthy.
• Ticker lookups: SEC EDGAR serves its company list and filing index. Our AI processing provider, which only the fallback for filings without structured data uses, is checked too: losing it shows as degraded, not down.
• PDF extraction: The PDF processing server answers an authenticated request. It holds its own AI provider credentials, which we cannot check from here, so this says the server is up and reachable rather than that every document will extract.
• Payments: Our payment processor answers an authenticated request.
• A check confirms each service is reachable and accepting our requests. It does not run a real extraction, so an individual document can still fail while everything here is green. Email delivery is not checked.
• Daily bars run midnight to midnight UTC. Notices are written by us when something is wrong and are updated until it is fixed.
• This page is served by the same site it reports on. If it does not load at all, the site is down — email support@herodocu.com.
